In the odd years FENS supports the FENS Regional Meeting (FRM). FENS Regional Meetings are national or regional scientific meetings organized by FENS member societies with FENS support and label. FRMs are biennial meetings, alternating with the FENS Forums, which are held on even years.
This year FENS Regional meeting will take place 25-27 August 2021. The FRM 2021 is organized jointly by the Polish Neuroscience Society (PNS) and the Lithuanian Neuroscience Association (LNA) under the auspices and with support from the Federation of the European Neuroscience Societies (FENS), and also with support from the International Brain Research Organization Pan-Europe Regional Committee (IBRO PERC).
FRM 2021 original city venue was Kraków, Poland, however, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic situation, the Organizing Committee decided to hold the event virtual to ensure all attendees may meet safely. The conferencewillpresent the latest developments in neuroscience research and host panel discussions on topics ranging from directions for future development to diversity issues in the academia.

PNS is involved in dissemination of knowledge on the nervous system and progress made in nervous system research. It is also engaged in popularization of neuroscience, organization of training courses, publication of related materials and represents Polish community of neuroscientists both in Poland and abroad. PNS is a member of the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS).
The main forms of PNS activity include organizing International Congresses of the Society (biennially since 1995), Spring Schools of PNS, annual neurochemical conferences, popular science lectures during annual Brain Awareness Weeks (since 1998) in cooperation with the international organization DANA and the weekly newsmagazine „Polityka”.
Lithuanian Neuroscience Association (LNA) is voluntary organization and unites all persons and institutions interested in neurosciences.
Main goals of the LNA – experimental and theoretical research of neural system and education development, propagation of prime neuroscience achievements, assistance to Association members in fulfilling their professional interests, development of connections with foreign scientists, organization of various scientific and public events.
